STUDIO Architecture’s team, including Studio Terra, BBC Research & Consulting, and PCD Engineering, recently completed the Town of Estes Park’s first Facilities Master Plan (FMP).
The nearly three-year process, which was significantly delayed by Covid-19, was led by STUDIO Architecture. The FMP process included tours and facility condition assessments of the town’s top priority buildings. The team then analyzed potential options and funding strategies to achieve the Town’s future facility goals. We evaluated potential locations for new facilities and discussed the benefits and drawbacks of each option with staff, the board, and the community at large. STUDIO Architecture’s team then outlined three alternatives for addressing serious facilities deficiencies, established a decision-making process for the Town’s leadership, and identified recommendations for the next steps. The team conducted staff surveys and community engagement meetings during the process to obtain feedback from residents and collect their preferences for future facilities.
