Andrew grew up in the small mountain resort town of Frisco, Colorado. His education took him to the cornfields of Iowa where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Grinnell College. Although science was the focus of his studies, Andrew’s passion lies in architecture and design. Study Abroad experiences took him to Gaborone, Botswana where he studied vernacular architecture and interior design, as well as Copenhagen, Denmark where his architectural studio focused on human-based, sustainable design. Andrew’s work in 2018 with Animal Arts, an animal-specific architecture firm in Boulder, Colorado provided insight into designing spaces for individuals and their companions. Throughout his design process, Andrew strives to emphasize critical regionalism, climatically appropriate design, and biomimicry while enhancing aesthetic value.
