The STUDIO Architecture crew stopped working long enough to deck the halls at Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club http://www.nocturnejazz.com/ this past Saturday.
The party started off nicely with guests mingling and snacking on oysters, mini crab cakes, artisan cheeses and more. Then Chris decided to announce his arrival at the party by throwing a chair down the stairs from the mezzanine, a move that both scared the bejesus out of everyone down below and gave him instant Charlie Sheen party cred. (He said it was an accident. Sure, Chris. Whatevs.)
Topher, Nocturne’s bartender/mixologist/artist in residence, created two signature cocktails exclusively for STUDIO and both were equally tasty. Wine? Beer? Uh, no thanks…just keep bringing these drinks:
Twice Around The World: Bourbon, BSB Red Porter & Maple syrup, olorosso sherry, Dram Black Bitters, flamed orange swath in a double old fashioned glass with some sexy ice.
We started with the bourbon cocktail, then towards the end of the party Topher served up this one (I didn’t catch the name):
Gin, House-Made Grapefruit Cello, Fino Sherry, Lime Juice, Honey and Angosturas Bitters, with a burnt rosemary sprig garnish, served in a coupe
After we were booted from the mezzanine, the fun continued in the bar past midnight. As Jeff pulled away into the night, he was heard shouting, “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
And then Chris threw a brick at a passing car.
But, it was an accident.
