As we move deeper into 2024, Studio Architecture is thrilled to share an update on the significant strides made in the construction of The Residence at Fireclay project. This ambitious development, a beacon of affordable senior housing, reflects the City of Murray’s dedication to Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and sustainable, affordable living.
The first phase of The Residence at Fireclay is swiftly approaching its final months of construction, with an anticipated completion date set for June 2024. The exterior façade is near completion and the building interior advancements, including drywall installation and painting, signify a new chapter of affordable living is just around the corner. Phase one consists of 40 units across four stories, thoughtfully designed to embrace the sites majestic views of the Mountains and ensure senior residents experience comfort, community, and connectivity.
Concurrently, phase two has broken ground, initiating with excavation and foundation work. This next phase promises to add 30 more units in a five-story structure, expanding the community’s capacity to welcome seniors by the second quarter of 2025. With the installation of geo piers already completed, phase two is shaping up to further fulfill the affordable housing needs of Murray’s seniors.
Echoing Studio Architecture’s commitment to environmental stewardship, phase one has successfully incorporated Energy Star 3.0 standards. The completion of the thermal envelope, featuring high-performance windows and comprehensive air sealing, exemplifies our dedication to reducing energy loss and promoting sustainability. These measures not only contribute to the project’s eco-friendly footprint but also promise significant savings for the residents.
