STUDIO Architecture, in collaboration with Gardner Capital and Attention Homes, designed a 40-unit permanent supportive housing project for homeless youth that is located at 15th and Pine Street in downtown Boulder. The project includes one level of below-grade parking, a ground floor of supportive service spaces and two floors of apartments for residents. The project also features a secure, landscaped courtyard and solar panels.
This project went through extensive neighborhood outreach with meetings, discussions and a website produced to capture feedback and provide clear, detailed information about the status and program for the project.
The development received the 2020 Eagle Award from Housing Colorado.

“Studio Architecture is impressive on many levels. Their dedication to the project and unique needs of our clients resulted in an architectural design that reflects the trauma-informed nature of our work as well as the contemporary appeal needed so that young adults can live and thrive in a healing environment. They controlled costs with minimal sacrifice of design, swiftly responded to a complex entitlement process, and were deft at troubleshooting. In addition, every client deadline has been met and every request thoroughly vetted. Since construction has begun, I’ve been impressed with their relentless attention to detail to ensure that scheduling remains on-track.”
