19Block

19Block represents a highly energy efficient mixed-use project just blocks from downtown Boulder with 36 high-end apartments and approximately 30,000 SF of class A office space over a below-grade parking structure.  The project is holistically designed using Passive House principals to substantially reduce energy use and operating costs.  The apartments are designed with insulated floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a generous amount of light and access to the incredible views of the Front Range mountains, and passive shading techniques to control the solar heat gain through those windows at different times of the year.   A statement roof deck with green space and flexible seating and meeting areas stretches out along the upper floor of the office space, providing an opportunity for tenants to host gatherings of any size, or to simply relax and appreciate some fresh air and the unreal mountain backdrop.
